Strong Authentication

Two Factor Authentication (2FA), also known as Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), adds an additional layer of security beyond the traditional username and password. It requires users to provide something they have (such as a hardware or software token) or something they are (usually biometric) in addition to their login credentials. This extra layer of security makes it more challenging for potential intruders to gain unauthorized access to user accounts or steal user data or identity.
